Under the motto \u2018THE NORDIC SOUND\u2019, a musical bridge was built this year from the heart of Europe to the far north of Europe.<\/p>\n
The Norwegian star violinist Eldbj\u00f8rg Hemsing, the Norwegian pianist H\u00e5vard Gimse and the compositions of their compatriots Edvard Grieg, Johan Halvorsen and Johan Svendsen took centre stage.<\/p>\n
A musical bond was forged between Norway and the Swiss Alps at this festival, in which Eldbj\u00f8rg Hemsing and H\u00e5vard Gimse also performed together with the Lucerne Symphony Orchestra, the oldest symphony orchestra in Switzerland, in the Andermatt Concert Hall. Also taking part, soloist Anastasia Kobekina on the cello.<\/p>\n
The Swiss Alps Classics came to a culinary and lifestyle conclusion with a wonderful finale on Friday evening at the Cotton Club Andermatt under the motto \u2018The Nordic Sound Dinner & After Party\u2019 and the gala dinner with artists on Saturday evening at the 5-star hotel THE CHEDI ANDERMATT.<\/p>\n
