For more than 10 years, APA has been the general outfitter of the DFB and the associated 150 events a year. As a specialist for branding, signage and way-finding, APA annually designs Germany’s biggest soccer festival – the DFB Cup in the historic Olympiastadion Berlin. Due to the relegation matches of Hertha BSC Berlin, APA had only 48 hours in 2022 to set the stage for the entire DFB Cup final – a Herculean task that we mastered with flying colors.
Integrated into the overall concept, numerous side events were also mounted in other locations to immerse Berlin completely in the colors of the DFB Cup. In addition to the scene-appropriate design of the Football Village for an inviting VIP feeling, another highlight is the all-round marathon staircase, which was professionally mounted to the listed Olympic Stadium using a special fastening technique.

AFTER THE MATCH IS BEFORE THE MATCH
APA has been the DFB's general outfitter since 2012 and brings its expertise to all events from the cup final and international matches to the integration award and Christmas parties. Already five months before the final kick-off, the planning of the APA project team for the DFB Cup Final starts. On site, the project is usually realized with more than 100 man-days in just under a week. What the APA Brands Events Solutions team normally has seven days for, had to be mastered in 2022 by our 52-man crew in 48 hours, despite extreme weather conditions, due to the relegation matches of Hertha BSC Berlin. What sounded like an almost unbelievable challenge was for the APA team only the proof of their know-how, which our team has built up through years of excellent work.
