APA lets Planica shine

Since 1924, the Nordic World Ski Championships have determined the world champions in four different ski sports. In addition to cross-country skiing and ski jumping, international ski professionals duel in the disciplines of Nordic skiing and Nordic combined.

As an Official Branding and Signage Partner, APA has been supporting the biennial World Championships of the World Ski Federation FIS for decades.

In addition to the overall equipment of this great event, APA developed for Stora Enso, the world’s largest wood-processing Finnish-Swedish group and main sponsor, sustainable start & exit gates, award ceremony back walls, split time towers and course pylons made of Stora Enso wood in combination with the latest APA LED technology.

In the development workshops of APA, with great attention to detail, the individual unique pieces were designed and handcrafted. Media-effective eye-catchers were created from mainly renewable raw materials.

Another nice side effect of the World Cup – as an employee incentive, four of our female employees were able to watch the Ski World Cup and thus the final result of APA live from Slovenia as VIP guests.

Congratulations and congratulations also to all German World Cup medal winners, especially to the German mixed team around Katharina Althaus, Selina Freitag, Andreas Wellinger and Karl Geiger, who sensationally won World Cup gold.
