After a three-year absence, 1. FC Saarbrücken is back in the DFB Cup – and with an absolute cracker of a draw: after beating Karlsruher SC, the club will face reigning champions FC Bayern Munich in the second main round.

Coach Rüdiger Ziehl expressed his enthusiasm: “This is the absolute cracker, the most difficult task, a super opponent, a full stadium, we will try everything”. he said on ARD on Sunday.

The clash between Union Berlin and VfB Stuttgart also promises to be very exciting, especially given the Swabians’ strong form in the Bundesliga. We can also look forward to the clash between the defending champions RB Leipzig and the strong VfL Wolfsburg.

APA once again had the honour of perfectly staging the German Football Museum in Dortmund for the exciting draw. We are already looking forward to the 16 upcoming matches on 31 October and 1 November!
