Munich and Eintracht Frankfurt, it was now Borussia Mönchengladbach’s turn.

After a brilliant start by both clubs and 2 goals within 11 minutes, it looked for a long time as if the game would go into extra time. But as the laws of the DFB Cup dictate, miracles still happen in added time.
In the third minute of stoppage time, Saarbrücken skilfully countered the visitors from Gladbach and won thanks to a goal from Kai Brünker.
