Saturday before last, the time had finally come – the starting signal was given for the 47th Biathlon World Cup 2023/24 in picturesque Östersund, the first of a total of ten global biathlon stops. With APA, we were there live as the best biathletes in the world competed in the sprint, pursuit, individual and relay disciplines.

The International Biathlon Union Cup is the highest international race series and attracts thousands of enthusiastic spectators to the Arena am Rennsteig every year.

For APA, this marks the start of an intensive phase, as the venues for the World Championships not only cover different countries, but the dates are also extremely tightly scheduled, with only three days between competitions in some cases. In order to meet this challenge, perfectly thought-out planning is required, both in terms of manpower and the productions in advance.
