The spectacular final of the European Handball Championships took place today in Cologne, marking the crowning glory of two and a half exciting weeks in which Europe’s best teams competed for the title in six different cities.

Our dedicated project managers worked flat out for six months to prepare for this major event, which culminated in the LANXESS Arena. The journey began with the record-breaking opening match on January 10 at the Merkur Spiel Arena in Düsseldorf, which was not only attended by over 53,000 enthusiastic spectators, but also had 7.6 million fans sitting in front of their televisions.

The Lanxess Arena, with space for over 19,000 fans, proved to be one of the most modern event halls in the world and we were proud to be part of this historic event.
Even though Germany was not able to win this time, it was still an honor to accompany the European Championships in its own year and thus set another highlight in the history of the APA.

A big thank you goes to our team, who did a great job behind the scenes, the project managers, who always kept a cool head and an overview, and to the European Handball Federation and the Deutscher Handballbund e.V. for their trust!

After this special start to the year, we are already looking forward to the following projects.
