In the first home match of the European Championship qualifiers, the DFB Women’s team in Aachen were looking for an important three points on their way to the UEFA Women’s EURO 2025 in Switzerland. Alongside Iceland, Germany will face Austria and Poland in their qualifying group. The top two teams in each group qualify directly for the European Championship finals in Switzerland.

And our women’s national team is on course to qualify directly as one of the top two teams after a highly deserved 3:1 win against Iceland. After the lightning start by Schüller, there was only a brief phase in the first half when Iceland were on a par with the DFB women and equalised.

Now it’s time to stay on the ball and get the next win against the Polish women’s national team.
