Today we had the pleasure to give the mayor of Neuwied and head of the sports department Peter Jung, at APA an overview of the ongoing productions for the Special Olympics World Games.
Neuwied is one of the more than 200 host towns that receive delegations from all over the world.
The #ZusammenInklusiv – Host Town program creates a new togetherness and opens the space for encounters far beyond the Special Olympics World Games Berlin, which will take place from 17-25 June 23. A feast for all!
Thus, the whole of Germany will host the largest inclusive sporting event in the world. The host towns will organize the four-day stay from June 12 to 15 according to their own ideas and local conditions.
Neuwied receives a delegation from Palau, a group of islands in the Pacific Ocean.
What’s special for Neuwied? APA Brands Events Solutions, as general signage & branding contractor for the Special Olympics World Games, has been headquartered in the beautiful city on the Rhine for over 38 years.
For Mayor Peter Jung, it is also a moment to be proud to have such an internationally renowned producer of major international events with almost 100 employees in Neuwied.
Neuwied won the Host Town award because of its concepts for inclusive local projects with the long-term goal of making people with intellectual disabilities more visible in sports and society – where it counts, in our home town.
Almost 10,000 branding & signage products will be installed in the 12 locations, around Berlin, with an APA team of around 25 technicians and project managers on site. APA will thus create a worthy stage for the more than 7,000 athletes with intellectual and multiple disabilities from over 170 nations.
It will be a great event, from which a departure for more participation and recognition of people with disabilities will come.
We at APA Brands Events Solutions are proud to be a part of it.
