FC Bayern Munich sensationally failed to beat third division side 1. FC Saarbrücken in the DFB Cup. It was a game of David versus Goliath and it lived up to its name. Despite their small share of the game, Saarbrücken even looked more dangerous than the record champions and cup winners in their occasional forays forward and were crowned with the victory in the end.
