From January 11 to 29, 2023, the 28th #HandballWorldCup will take place in the co-host countries #Sweden and, for the first time, #Poland. At the same time, the last medal at a World Cup for the Germans was a whole 16 years ago – back then, the gold medal and the title were celebrated spectacularly at the home World Cup in 2007.

For the team from the German Handball Association, it starts on January 13, after a training fine-tuning in Barsinghausen, at 6:00 p.m. against the Asian champion Qatar in Katowice, Poland.

Saturday’s test match win over Iceland gives hope for the preliminary round matches against Qatar, Serbia and Algeria, with Germany considered the secret favorite.
A special focus is on 22-year-old Juri Knorr, who is expected to carry an important role as an in-form playmaker.

We at APA Brands Events Solutions were able to exclusively stage this exciting international championship for TV and provide the best possible support for the sponsors of the International Handball Federation.
Our project managers are currently on site in Sweden and have spent the previous days providing excellent on-site support for the precise setup of our team.

Will you be watching the preliminary rounds on ZDF and how do you rate Germany’s chances? At least the spectacular opening ceremony has already made a lot of desire for more!
